Redtag.ca has a couple really good all inclusive deals to Cuba, right now.
The first leaves October 1st, and is $408 for 7 days at the Club Amigo Costa Sur near the town of Trinidad in Cienfuegos. This is the resort I stayed at while writing the book. It’s a three-star that’s not too modern/corporate, and kind of reminds you of what hotels were like in the 80s.
Personally, I liked it a lot, and am happy I didn’t end up in one of the huge resort complexes down the road. The beach isn’t great, but the staff are friendly and the food is passable. You’re also a 8-10 CUC cab ride from the historical town of Trinidad, which is worth seeing and where there are a couple places to go out to drink and dance.
The second leaves October 3rd, and is $495 for 8 nights at Hotel Los Balcones, in Cayo Coco. Hotel Los Balcones is a four-star, and was formerly Blue Bay Cayo Coco.
Judging by the picture below, it’s more of a larger, modern style resort. But hey, some of you kids are into that kind of thing anyway.
